Roll oats – 1 cup (You can use instant oats, but the rolled ones are best)
Binding Agent – Gram flour (Besan) – 2 tbsp
Onion – 1 small, very finely diced
Tomato – 1 small, cut up super fine
Green chili – 1, finely chopped (optional)
Fresh coriander leaves – 2 tbsp, finely chopped
Cumin seeds (Jeera) – 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp (optional)
Salt – As per taste
Water – 1/2 – 3/4 cup (for making the batter)
Oil – To cook
 

Instructions:

Oats Flour is Prepared: If rolled oats are used, process in the blender until it is as fine as powdered flour.

Mixing the Batter: In a mixing bowl, add flour from casters, (gram flour (if used)), chopped onion, tomato, green chili, coriander leaves, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, and salt.
Then slowly add water and mix it well to get a smooth & lump-free batter. Its consistency should be like a pancake batter that is thick but not like the one that will flow away.


Cook the Chilla:
Warm a non-stick skillet or tawa over medium heat and lightly coat it with a bit of oil.
Scoop a ladle full of batter on the greased skillet, with a little bit of oil, in a circular motion to spread it out really thin.at the sides and now let it cook for around 2-3 mins. Sprinkle a few drops of oil here Drizzle.Then the other side, flip it and keep on cooking until golden and crisp.
